So Friday night me and Burton were going to dinner to celebrate our Two and a Half year anniversary and well it wasn't just a dinner date like I had planned....IT WAS SO MUCH BETTER!
We went to eat at Whole Foods where we went on our first date. I had fish and chips in honor of the royal wedding! After we ate some goood food, we went and got in the car and drove around town to different locations that had significant meaning in our relationships. We used to go driving a lot at the beginning of our relationship because we both lived in dorms and it was just fun to get away for a couple hours, and Burton pretty much showed me all of Nashville there is to see, so that was a bonus!
After we drove around at the special spots like the Warfield house, Elaine, a church's park we went to some, and others we stopped at our last stop which was Edwin Warner Park. We have gone here a lot to talk, went fishing in the dark one time, and just loved the environment of this place! We got there and we parked and got out and he opened the trunk and there was his guitar. I thought he was just going to play me songs like he always does, but little did I know I was fooled!
We walked down to a gazebo where candles were burning on the picnic table and rose petals were all over the place. He started to play and sing me a song that he wrote and then all of a sudden it just happened. I realized right when Kristen and Maegan started taking pictures that this was it!
I can't really tell you the rest because I got so excited I don't really remember, but he asked me to marry him and I said YES!!!!
I am the luckiest girl in the world and I can't imagine spending my life with anyone else! We are both so happy and excited for what is to come and know that God has a plan in store for our future life together!
